Queering Culture / by Les Sterling

More than a few years ago, I started collecting/hoarding/personally curating Queer Art, Music, Theatre, Film, etc. and became obsessed with this cultural identity that is ubiquitous amongst all queer people. I realized, however, that these obsessions weren't shared among my fellow queer kind.

In the 1980's and 1990's, Queerdom took on a new face with the Queercore Movement - coincidentally, this was the time when I was a teenager and young adult, and needless to say, it left quite and impression.

It is with this early input I'm pleased to introduce this new podcast called Queering Culture, where I'll engage in conversations with artists of all sorts who fall under the Queer rubric - not just LGBT people, not just gender minorities - because Queerdom is huge, and encompasses so much more than our sexuality. It's about owning our differences, celebrating them and sharing them with the world.
